Hi, ma'am/sir. I’m Jackielyn, I’m 36 years old and a single mom with one child who is 18 and in their first year of college this school year. I’ve been working here in Hong Kong for almost 10 years, and that will be in October 2026. I spent nearly 5 years with my first employer, and now I’ve been with my second employer for almost 6 years. Right now, I’m working for a family with 2 adults and 3 kids ages 6, 4, and 3. However, I’ve decided not to renew my contract because the schedule with the kids is really tight. I always feel rushed and often don’t have time to eat, which makes it exhausting. My employer relies a lot on me for everything. I’m hardworking, trustworthy, patient, and I really value my faith.
