Hi, I’m Joanne, and I’m 46 years old. I’m from the Philippines. I’ve worked as a domestic helper in Saudi Arabia for almost 4 years, from 2019 to 2023. During that time, I took care of 2 adults, 3 children, and 1 infant. My main tasks included cleaning, cooking, washing clothes, ironing, and looking after the kids. I sometimes helped them with their homework too. Then I worked in Hong Kong, taking care of a family with 5 members, 1 elderly person, 2 adults, and 2 children. My duties are similar: cleaning, ironing, cooking, doing the marketing, washing clothes, and taking the children to school and helping them with their homework when I can.
