Good day, employers! My name is Jocelyn, and I’m 39 years old. I've worked as a domestic helper for 6 years in three different countries. For 2 years, I was in Kuwait, where I worked as a household worker. My main duty there was taking care of a newborn baby, but I also helped with an 18-month-old, which included changing diapers, bathing them, and feeding them milk. Then, I spent 2 years in Doha, Qatar, working full-time as a cook. I managed the kitchen for all meals, from breakfast to dinner, and took care of the shopping, going to both supermarkets and wet markets. Right now, I’m in Hong Kong, taking care of an elderly woman since January 2024. I help her with meals, give her massages, tell her stories, and make sure she takes her medicine, especially when the nurse is on holiday. I have about 7 months left on my contract, but unfortunately, my employer’s health is not improving. Her family has asked me to be prepared for anything, which is why I’m starting to look for a new job. I am planning to break my contract and can released once I find a new employer. I hope you will give me a chance to work in your home. I promise to do everything I can to fulfill my duties and to care for your children as if they were my own.
