Good day, ma'am/sir! My name is Jocelyn. I’m 44 years old. I’ve been working as a domestic helper for 12 years. I worked in Kuwait from March 2014 to March 2018. I took care of an elderly lady who was 85 years old and two adults aged 60 and 65. My job included taking care of the elderly, doing household chores, washing cars, and cooking for them. I worked with one other helper, and I finished my contract there. The reason I completed my two contracts is that I really love my work and treat them like family, especially the elderly lady, who I treated like my own father.

Currently, I’m in Hong Kong where I take care of two kids, including a newborn. I started this job in July 2018 and I’m still here. The little girl is 8 years old now. Every day, my main priority is the newborn. When she sleeps, I take care of all the housework. I also drop off and pick up the older girl from school or activities. I’ve been with them for almost 8 years, and even though it’s not easy, I managed to stay. I work for the family like they are my own, especially the children, whom I love very much and treat like my daughters. The reason I’m not renewing my contract is that the grandmother will take care of the kids now, and I am finishing my contract on July 11, 2026.
