Jomanel

My name is Jomanel, and I am 35 years old. I am single and originally from the Philippines. I have been working in Hong Kong as a domestic helper since 2016, accumulating nearly nine years of experience.

From March 2016 to March 2018, I worked with a Chinese family consisting of three adults. My responsibilities included caring for an elderly family member, cooking, and housekeeping. After completing my two-year contract, I moved on to my second employer, where I worked from March 2018 to September 2023. This role involved assisting a Chinese family with six members—two adults and four children—alongside another helper. I finished my five-and-a-half-year contract due to their relocation to Canada. My daily tasks in this position included cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning, washing, ironing, and taking care of the children.

Currently, I am employed as a helper with another Chinese family of three, which includes two adults and one child. I began this position in September 2023, and my contract is set to conclude in March 2025. Unfortunately, my current employment was terminated early. My daily responsibilities in this role include cleaning, marketing, cooking, washing, ironing, and caring for a seven-year-old boy and a cat. My employer is terminating our contract, and I will be released on March 23, 2025. I am looking for a new employer.
