Hi, I'm Joy, and I'm 43 years old. I’ve been a domestic helper in Hong Kong for almost 20 years now. I spent about 10 years with a Chinese family, and then I worked for a French-German family in a big house, around 3,500 sq/ft, for 4 years. My job there included washing two cars, cleaning the swimming pool, and taking care of all the household chores like laundry, ironing, baking, and cooking dinner. They had three kids, and I helped with their activities too. I worked there for four years until my contract ended. After that, I was with a British couple in a 2,000 sq/ft house for almost five years, but I left because they were moving. I appreciated the good release letter they gave me. I also worked for a Canadian family here in Hong Kong. They had two adults, two kids, and a dog, and their home is about 2,500 sq/ft. I’ve been with them for two years as a full-time helper. My daily routine involves making breakfast and packing lunch for the kids, cleaning the house, doing laundry and ironing, and taking care of the backyard and pool. I also cook dinner for the family.

Right now, I'm working with a british- chinese expat family for about 4 months, looking after 2 adults and two kids. Unfortunately, I am terminated, and I will be released on November 8, 2026.
