Hi, I’m Julie Deseree. I’m 39 years old and I’m from the Philippines. I have over 5 years of experience as a domestic helper. For 5 of those years, I worked in Malaysia with a Chinese family that had 2 adults and 2 kids. My main duties there included cooking, housekeeping, and taking care of the kids. Now, I’m in Hong Kong and I’ve been with my current employer for 10 months. I work for another Chinese family, this time with 2 adults and 3 kids, and my responsibilities are pretty much the same: cooking, housekeeping, and kids care. Because of some personal reasons, I’ve decided to break my contract, and my last working day will be on November 27, 2026.
