My name is Kristine, I’m 39 years old. I’ve spent almost 8 years working as a domestic helper in Hong Kong. My first job involved marketing, cleaning, cooking, and accompanying an elderly gentleman to his hospital check-ups with his daughter I worked for 3 years. In my second employer I worked for 2 years, I focused on taking care of children—helping them with homework, meeting their daily needs, and bringing them to school and tutorials. I also did housekeeping tasks like laundry, cleaning, ironing, cooking, and marketing.

In my third job, I worked with an elderly couple alongside a co-worker. I was with them for almost 4 years, primarily taking care of the husband who had survived a stroke and had surgery. My responsibilities included helping him bathe, waking him up, checking on him at night, monitoring his vital signs like blood pressure, body temperature, and oxygen levels daily, and checking his blood sugar either weekly or daily based on his condition. I also prepared and managed his medications, kept a medication chart for morning, lunch, and evening doses, monitored his food and water intake, applied cream to areas swollen from his diabetes, updated medical check-ups, and accompanied both of them to appointments. Every afternoon, we took car rides for about two hours to go to the mall or park for walks around Hong Kong Island. This helped him sleep better at night and stay fit. Along with my co-worker, I shared household chores like cleaning, cooking, and grocery shopping. I will finish my contract on October 28, 2026. I’m hardworking, easy to get along with, understanding, and patient. I can learn and follow any tasks given to me. I also have a Caregiver Certificate and a First Aid Certificate.
