Hi, I’m Laila, and I’m 37 years old. Right now, I’m in Hong Kong working as a domestic helper. I've been with my current employer for almost 12 years, taking care of 2 adults and 2 kids, who are 14 and 11—both girls. My main tasks are cooking, housekeeping, and looking after the kids. I've been with the youngest since she was a baby. I'm finishing my contract and can be released early on November 27, 2026, because my employer is now working from home and the girls are learning to be independent, so they don’t need a helper anymore. It’s really tough for me because they’ve been such great employers.
