My name is Maria Elena, and I am a 28-year-old Filipino. I have spent 1 year and 8 months working in Hong Kong for my most recent employer, where I provided care for an adult woman. In the mornings, while my employer is still asleep, I wipe down the tables, dust picture frames, and clean the windows, if time allows. Once she wakes up, I assist her with combing her hair while also making the bed. When she is settled and watching TV, I prepare her breakfast, which includes toast, milk tea, and her medications. While she enjoys her breakfast, I take the opportunity to clean the toilets and wash the laundry, including ironing the clothes that have already been washed. My employer terminated our contract due to the death of my employer, and I was released on January 14, 2025. I am looking for a new employer.
