Hi, I’m Mariane. I’m 32 years old and I’m from the Philippines. I’ve been working as a domestic helper for 9 years now. For the first 3 years, I worked in the UAE, and for the last 5 years and 9 months, I’ve been with my current employer here in Hong Kong. I take care of a couple, one elderly person, and a 6-year-old child. My daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms. I also handle family laundry, ironing, and organizing the wardrobe. I prepare meals every day and do the grocery shopping, while paying attention to specific dietary needs. I supervise the young child, help with school prep, and coordinate daily routines. I will finish my current contract on November 11, 2026, and I’m now looking for a new employer.
