To my Future Employers, good day! I’m Maricel, a 46-year-old Filipina and a proud mother of three children, ages 18, 15, and 10. Right now, I’m working in Hong Kong, and my contract ends in July 2026. My main job is taking care of a 4-year-old toddler and their pet dog. Since both of my employers are working, it’s just me, the child, and the dog at home. I’m responsible for my tasks, and I can manage my time well without supervision. During the weekdays, I wake up early to prepare breakfast for the child, and then I get her ready to go to school. I also walk their big dog twice a day. Aside from that, I do household chores like laundry, tidying up the kitchen, cleaning the toilet, bedrooms, living room, and the balcony. I cook healthy and nutritious meals for the child, and I always make time to play with her, help her with her activities, and tutor her in her assignments. I read her books and show her lots of love, care, and patience, especially when she has tantrums. I believe in guiding her properly and will let her parents know if she makes mistakes or is misbehaving, so they can handle the discipline.
