Hi, I’m Marieta. I’m 46 years old and I’ve been a domestic helper for more than 22 years now. I spent 5 of those years working in the UAE, and before that, I was in Hong Kong. My first employer there was a wonderful Canadian couple and their child; I worked with them for almost 14 years. My main responsibilities were cooking, housekeeping, and taking care of their baby.

Currently, I’m with my current employer where I take care of children. I help them get to school, shower, eat, and do their homework. When I’m not busy with school duties, I also handle all the household tasks like cooking and gardening. It can be a lot to manage, but I really love what I do. For personal reasons, I broke my contract with my current employer, and I was released on June 20, 2026.
