Hi, I’m Mary Ann. I’m 31 years old, and I've been working as a domestic helper for over 5 years. I spent 2 of those years in Qatar, where I completed a contract taking care of a family of five: a couple and their three boys, who were ages 2, 9, and 11. My main job was to look after the 2 year old. That meant playing with him, giving him baths, feeding him, changing his diapers, and checking on him regularly to make sure he was comfortable. I also read him bedtime stories and sang lullabies. Besides looking after the little one, I did household chores like ironing uniforms, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping floors, and picking up the older kids from school.

Now, I'm in Hong Kong, where I've been working for almost 2 years and will hit 7 months with my current employer on June 18. I take care of a family of three, two adults and an 8 year old boy. When I arrived, he was just starting school. My responsibilities include sending him to school and picking him up, as well as taking him to various activities like tutorials and sports. I also do the groceries, laundry, cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting, wiping windows twice a week, organizing cabinets, washing dishes, and preparing simple meals for dinner. I pride myself on being a fast learner, honest, hardworking, trustworthy, and someone who cares about the families I work with. For personal reasons, I’m planning to break my contract, and can be released anytime as soon as I find a new employer. I hope you might consider hiring me.
