Mary Grace

My name is Mary Grace, 42 years old, and Filipino. I have worked in Hong Kong for 19 years and 9 months. I am a long time single mom and my son is already 20 years of age. 

I love singing, dancing, play musical instruments, such as keyboard and ukulele, swimming, playing volleyball and badminton are the sports I enjoy the most. during my me time, I do painting, reading and sometimes writing poems.

 I am very easy to get along with and a jolly person. Being Responsible, organised and flexibility is a great way for me to establish a joyful atmosphere in my workplace. Communication is also a must. I love cooking and baking. I always make sure that I am making and cooking healthy meals and dessert for my boss depending on their appetite or diet. That’s why I treat kitchen as my office.  

My contract will end on June 15 2024. The reason why I am not signing anymore for another contract with my current employer is simply because I want to take care of children again. I am serving just a couple right now. 

Here's my Hong Kong experiences

2004-2008: English-Australian Family, I was working with my mother-in-law taking care of 5 and 3 years old boys living in a 3 storey house with swimming pool and big garden. 

2009-2011: Jewish-German family of 4, kids were 6 year old boy and a 4 year old girl and a 1 year old golden retriever in a 4 storey house with big garden for 1 contract 

2011-2017: Jewish-Chinese family of 3, I worked for 3 contracts with them until the boy turned 6 years old. 

2017 June-December: Chinese family or 5, I only worked for 7 months with them as a driver and working along with another 2 helpers.  

2018-2022: Korean family of 4 , an Infant and toddler aged 6mos and 2 years old. I worked for 5 years and they went back to Canada. 

2022 up to the present: Chinese family of 3. But their son is studying abroad and so I am only looking after a couple.
