Hi, I’m Melanie. I’m 43 years old and I’m from the Philippines. I’ve been working here in Hong Kong for almost 14 years now with three different families. My first job lasted 10 years and 5 months, but they had to let me go because their kids grew up and didn’t need my help anymore. Then, I worked with my second employer for 1 year and 7 months, but they felt I wasn’t the right fit for them and decided to end my contract. For my third employer, I was there for 1 year and 6 months, but they left Hong Kong, so I didn’t have anyone to work for. As a helper, I know my duties and responsibilities well. I can work independently, and I’m always willing to learn new things because I know I still have room to grow.
