Hello to my future employer! My name is Merlyn, and I’m 46 years old. I started working as a domestic helper back in 2000 and continued until 2008 in Jordan, taking care of a family of four: two adults and two kids, a boy and a girl. My main job was helping my madam in the kitchen with cooking, and I also did all the household chores, like cleaning, washing, car washing, and sometimes gardening. After that, I moved to Hong Kong. My first employer there was a family of three: two adults and a girl. I worked with them for three years, from 2009 to 2012, where I cooked and took care of their daughter from when she was 6 years old until she turned 9. I handled all kinds of household chores during that time.

So, I worked for my second employer from 2012 to 2018. They had two adults and two kids, and I took care of twins, a boy and a girl, from when they were just 4 months old until they turned 6. I also helped with their three dogs and took care of all the household tasks. Now, the interesting part is that my current employer is the same person as my second employer. She hired me back in September 2022 to help look after her mom, who is 80 years old and bedridden. Since she has trouble moving, we hired another helper to work with us. Together, we take care of her mom completely—bathing, changing diapers, feeding, and handling all the household chores. I finished my 4-year contract in September 2026 and renewed it with my employer. However, I'm now planning to break my contract for personal reasons, and I can be released once I find a new employer.
