Hi, I’m Myrna, and I’m 40 years old. I’ve been a domestic helper for over 7 years now. I spent 3 years in Malaysia, where I took care of a little boy. After finishing my contract there, I moved to Dubai and worked with three kids — two of them are twins, and the other is a bit older. Now, I’m in Hong Kong, and I’ve been with my current employer for 2 years and 5 months. However, I’ve decided to break my contract for personal reasons, and my last working day will be on November 19, 2026. At my current job, I care for 2 adults and 2 children. My main responsibilities include looking after two toddlers, as well as a 7-year-old and a 10-year-old. I make sure to keep an eye on them because they can be pretty energetic and a bit mischievous. One of the kids, the 9-year-old, has autism, so I need to give him a bit more attention. My duties involve cooking for the kids, helping them with showers, changing their clothes, and taking them to school and activities.
