Hi, my name is Nanda. I’m 39 years old, married, and I have two children. I'm from Indonesia and I've been working as a domestic helper here in Hong Kong since 2007. I’m currently with my employer for four years now; they are two adults and one kid. My main duties include taking care of the baby, cooking, doing the shopping, and housekeeping. I’ll be finishing my contract on December 12, 2026. Thank you for listening.

Let me share my job experiences with you:

From 2007 to 2009, I finished my contract where I took care of 3 adults — a dad, mom, and grandpa — and two children, a 15-year-old and a 6-year-old. After grandpa passed away, they didn't need a helper anymore.

From 2009 to 2012, I also finished my contract taking care of one adult, the grandmother.

In 2013, I took a break and went back to Indonesia.

From 2014 to 2020, I worked for a family with two adults, one child, a baby, and a cat. I finished that contract because they moved to Canada.

From 2020 to 2022, I worked with another family with two adults and a baby. I finished that contract when the baby grew up and started school, and the grandparents took over care.

Since 2022 until now, I'm with my current employers, which include two adults and a baby who is now 4 years old. I will be finished at the end of November.

I have to say, my current employer is very good, and my salary is decent. The only thing is they want to change my day off to weekdays, which makes me a bit uncomfortable.
