Hello! My name is Rachel, and I'm 49 years old. I'm a single mother, and my son is all grown up and has his own family now. I started working abroad as a domestic helper back in 1999 until 2001 in Singapore. I came to Hong Kong in 2002, and I've been here ever since. I will be working with my current employer for 18 years this coming March 6, 2026. When I first came here, their boys were just 12 and 9 years old, and now they’re both doctors! My employer’s parents moved in with us about 8 years ago. They are 95 and 90 now, so I check their blood pressure and blood sugar every day, give them their medicine, prepare meals, and make sure they are doing well. Twelve years ago, a lovely Golden Retriever puppy came into our lives. She was adorable and sweet! I’ve taken care of her since she was just 3 months old, and now she is 12 years old. I prepare her meals with steamed chicken and vegetables, take her for walks, give her baths twice a month, brush her teeth, and shower her with cuddles and love. I don’t just see her as a dog; I treat her like my daughter.
