I started my first contract in Hong Kong with two kids, ages 7 and 12. I mostly focused on helping the 7-year-old with her school homework, while also doing general household chores. I finished that contract without any issues.

For my second contract, I worked for a different employer with older kids who were almost teenagers. This time, my duties shifted mainly to household chores, especially cooking. I completed that contract as well.

My first contract and my current one, which has lasted 16 years, are both with the same employer. Now, my main responsibility is taking care of grandma. At first, she was pretty healthy, so I just had to check up on her every now and then. But as she got weaker, she needed more help, especially with showering, going to the bathroom, and keeping her clean when she had accidents. I still do general household chores on top of that. I’ll be finishing this contract in October.

I’m 58 years old, and I take my work very seriously. I’m quite independent and can manage tasks with little supervision, and I’m always eager to learn new things. I like to keep things organized. One of the kids I looked after once said, “Regine, you work so neatly!” I value honesty, trustworthiness, and respect.
