Rhea Mae

Hi, I’m Rhea Mae, and I’m 36 years old. This is my first job abroad as a domestic helper, and I chose Hong Kong because it offers a better salary and is a safe place for workers like me. I’ve been with my current employer for 1 year and 8 months, taking care of a family of 3 adults and 2 kids. My main tasks include cooking, housekeeping, and caring for both kids and the elderly. I’m looking for a new employer since my contract will finish on February 18, 2027, and I hope to find someone soon. I won’t lie; I did struggle with homesickness during my first few months, but I’ve gotten through it by reminding myself of why I’m here. I want to give my children and family a better future. My faith has also helped me a lot in overcoming my challenges as I adjust to this new environment and meet new people.
