Hello, my name is Rita, I'm 40 years old, and I'm married with one child. I’ve been working in Hong Kong as a domestic helper for 10 years now, with two employers before my current one. My first job lasted for two years, and I took care of two young daughters who were 3 and 7 years old. Then, for eight years, I looked after two elderly parents who were healthy, along with their dog. I’ve been with my third employer for 9 months, but I’m planning on breaking my contract because I don’t have my own room and I end up sleeping on the kitchen floor.
