Hi! My name's Rowena, I'm 38, and I'm from the Philippines. I used to work in Singapore as a domestic helper, taking care of two kids. I didn't cook much there because my employer preferred us to buy food so I could focus on the children. When the pandemic hit, I went back home and ended up staying there for a while. That's when I decided to apply for a job here in Hong Kong, and I'm happy to say I got hired by my current employer. I started taking care of their child when she was 3, and now she’s almost 7. I do all sorts of things—cooking, shopping, and just about everything else you would expect. I really like kids, especially when they behave well. I consider myself patient, trustworthy, and hard-working. I'm also a pet lover; I grew up with dogs, though I haven't cared for other people's pets yet. But I would love to try! I enjoy traveling, too, so I hope to find an open-minded employer. I like to travel during my home leave before heading back to the Philippines.
