Hi, I’m Shane, I’m 32 years old, and I’m from the Philippines. I’ve been working as a domestic helper in Hong Kong for almost 8 years with the same employer. I’ve taken care of a family with 2 adults and a little boy, whom I’ve looked after since he was a newborn all the way to 8 years old. My role involved all sorts of daily care, making sure he was healthy, safe, and developing well. I have a background in nursing — I studied for 2 years before switching to a one-year practical nursing course. This gives me a nice mix of hands-on childcare experience and basic nursing knowledge. I’m looking for a new employer as my current contract will finish on January 12, 2027. I’m patient, observant, and I really focus on creating a warm and nurturing environment for kids. I communicate well with both parents and teachers, I follow instructions carefully, and I’m dedicated to supporting a child’s physical, emotional, and learning needs.
