Yanie

Hello, I'm Yanie, and I'm from the Philippines. I've been working for a family in Hong Kong for 7 years. I take care of one teenager, a 16-year-old girl, and my day usually starts at 6:00 AM on weekdays. I get up to make breakfast for her and help her get ready for school. After she leaves, my employer lets me catch a bit more sleep until about 8:30 AM. When it’s a school holiday, I start working at 8:30 AM instead.

My employers handle the groceries, so my job is mostly to organize everything once it’s brought home. Sometimes I also prepare lunch for them. In the evenings, I cook dinner for the family. They're not very picky about what I make, just that I don't use too much seasoning. As long as it’s not too salty, they’re fine with whatever I cook, whether it’s Asian, Chinese, or vegetarian food. I also help the teenager wash her things after her bath. My employer terminated our contract, and I will be released on April 1, 2026. I am looking for a new employer.

I'm honest, easygoing, trustworthy, reliable, cheerful, and I like to work independently. I also try to be a loving, respectful, and thoughtful person.
