My name is Amrita Lama, and I have previous working experience in Singapore as a caregiver and domestic helper. I am passionate about caring for the elderly, and I find great joy and fulfillment in serving them with patience, love, and dedication.

During my time in Singapore, I worked with a family where I was responsible for taking care of a 92-year-old elderly lady who was diagnosed with dementia. Due to her condition, she often forgot daily routines and important things, so I gently reminded her throughout the day and supported her in maintaining a sense of stability and comfort.

Her behavior was often childlike, so I adapted my caregiving approach accordingly. I spent time engaging her through conversations, singing songs with her, and asking her about her past to keep her mentally active and emotionally connected. I always ensured she felt valued, heard, and cared for.

I was also responsible for monitoring her health. Every morning, I checked her diabetes levels and maintained a routine to ensure her well-being. I accompanied her to the hospital for her monthly check-ups and followed medical instructions carefully.

In addition, I assisted her in daily activities such as cooking. I encouraged her participation by involving her in preparing her favorite dishes that she used to enjoy cooking in the past, which brought her happiness and a sense of familiarity.

I made sure she stayed physically active by taking her for daily walks in the nearby park. I also helped her perform regular exercises based on the guidance provided by her physiotherapist to support her mobility and overall health.

I served her with full dedication until the end of her life. After her passing, I returned to my home country.

My primary interest is caring for the elderly. I am patient, compassionate, and attentive, and I consider it a privilege to serve and support those who need care and companionship. I am committed to providing a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for those under my care.
