I have 7 years of experience working as a caregiver. I spent 5 years in Hong Kong and 2 years in Singapore. In Hong Kong, I worked with a lovely 78-year-old grandma who was healthy and didn’t have any illnesses. I lived in her house, and my daily tasks included cooking, going to the market for groceries, sweeping the floor, washing clothes, and cleaning the house. After my contract ended, I renewed it, and after about 3.5 years, she developed dementia. I focused on taking care of her during that time, as she sometimes didn't want to eat or sleep, and needed a lot of patience. Sadly, she passed away in 2017, and then I returned home to Indonesia. In December 2017, I started working in Singapore with a warm family. They had a 2-year-old baby and a healthy grandma who was 70 years old. My main responsibility was to take care of the baby, especially since the wife was often not at home. Each day, I cooked, went grocery shopping, cleaned the house, and took the baby to school and picked him up. I also prepared meals for the baby and sometimes took the grandma to the gym for fitness. She could only walk with some help, so I assisted her getting up and sometimes with bathing as well.
