My first job in Singapore lasted about a year. I took care of an elderly lady, did housekeeping, and helped with cooking. Sometimes, I even went to the market. Unfortunately, I didn’t stay long because the lady didn’t treat me well; she would hit, pinch, and even throw hot water at me. In the house, there was a mom, dad, the elderly lady, and three boys. Most days, it was just me and the lady at home.
For my second job, I worked for a Malay family. I took care of three children—a girl who is 11 years old, another girl who is also 11, and a boy who is 5. I helped them get ready for school every morning and took the boy to and from school. The family included the mom, dad, the elderly lady, the grandpa, and the three kids. I also went to the market and cooked for them, making Malay food.
I really enjoy spending time with children and the elderly, like grandpas and grandmas.
I am scared of dogs.
I can go to the market and cook different types of food, like Malay, Indonesian, and Chinese dishes.
I appreciate being given guidance if I make a mistake or if there’s something my employer doesn’t like. I value honesty and cleanliness. If you’re not happy with me or my work, I prefer to hear it directly rather than behind my back.
