Emmie grace

My name is Emmie Grace, 38 years old, married with two children. My parents are taking care of my son, who is 18 years old, and my daughter, who is 6 years old. I am the second among 6 siblings. I am currently working in Malaysia as a domestic helper.

My first job as a domestic helper was in Hong Kong, where I worked for 2 years with a family of five consisting of two adults and three children aged 9, 5, and 2. Both parents were working, so I managed most of the household responsibilities. I cleaned the house, did the marketing, cooked meals, washed and ironed clothes, and performed car washing daily. I also walked the dog twice a day, brought the children to school, fetched them by walking, and accompanied them to their extra activities such as swimming, badminton, and piano lessons.

My second job is in Malaysia, where I have been working for 4 years with a family of seven, including four adults and three grown‑up children. My main responsibility is taking care of the grandparents, an uncle aged 78 and an auntie aged 75. The uncle suffered a stroke, and I have been caring for him since the first day of his illness. I also handle laundry and cooking for them. Another Filipina helper cooks for the other five family members and helps with cleaning, and I assist when the uncle is resting. My contract here will finish on June 23, 2026.
