Hi, my name is Melody. I'm 47 years old and I'm a single mom with two daughters. I’m Filipino and a Christian. I’ve worked as a domestic helper for 10 years – 2 of those years in Singapore and the last 8 here in Hong Kong. Right now, I’m working with a family of 4: 2 adults and their kids who are 17 and 14 years old. I’ve been with them for 2 years. My main duties include housekeeping, simple cooking, and marketing. My employer mentioned they’re not planning to hire a helper anymore since the kids are old enough to take care of themselves. My contract ends on April 20, so I’m looking for a new employer.
