I am Abegale, 42 years old, married with two kids. I worked as a domestic helper in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 2010, where I completed two contracts, each for two years, and then I extended for another year, totaling five years. While I was there, I got pregnant because my husband and I worked as a couple. I returned to the Philippines in 2015 and gave birth. After that, my employer called me to come back and work for their family again. So, I went back to Riyadh in 2021 and finished another two-year contract, also with a one-year extension. Something personal came up that required me to stay in the Philippines for a while, but now I’m ready to start working again since my youngest is now 10 years old. I consider myself hardworking, honest, and trustworthy—these are the reasons my former employers in Saudi Arabia keep reaching out to me.
