Let’s talk about my personality.
I’m a soft-hearted person. If I know I made a mistake, I feel uncomfortable not saying sorry. I pay close attention to detail in my work and want to keep everything clean and tidy. I really enjoy being around kids. I’m not the best cook, but I can cook and I’m eager to learn more.
My experiences.
While I was in college, I worked with other people to help pay for my tuition and expenses.
In 2020, I worked in Hong Kong with a family of five: a father, a mother, their five-year-old daughter, their three-year-old son, and a newborn baby. I was working alongside another helper.
It was a busy but fun experience. We shared responsibilities to get everything done—if she cooked, I took care of the kids, and vice versa. We would feed the kids together since both parents were working and left early in the morning, returning around 6 PM. If the parents needed something or had requests for the kids, they would call us. Before bedtime, we’d discuss the meals that were okay for the kids, their schedules, and other important details so that everything was ready for the morning. My main duty was to take care of the kids, and when they were in school, we used that time to do laundry, clean the house, and prepare for dinner. Working with them taught me a lot about time management, being gentle with kids, patience, and being careful in my work.
