Amalia

Hi, I’m Amalia. I’m from the Philippines, and I’m married with three children aged 15, 11, and 5. I’m a college graduate, and I’ve also completed training under TESDA for NCII and a Canadian Caregiver Course. I have experience working abroad in Hong Kong for six years with two different employers. I took care of children ranging from a baby to ages 3, 6, 7, 11, and 13. My main responsibilities were to ensure their safety, attend to their daily needs, take them to and from school, help with tutoring, and engage in educational activities and play. I would describe myself as honest, trustworthy, and hardworking. I’m also patient, calm, and capable of working with little supervision. When I returned to the Philippines, I was pregnant with my second child, and I took care of him while running a small restaurant. Later, I opened a sari-sari store at home to save on rent. In 2019, I had my third child and, shortly after, our country faced the COVID pandemic, which made me a full-time housewife. In 2022, I started doing online selling while managing my kids and keeping up with household chores.
