Arlie

My name is Arlie. I am 40 years old, married, and a mother of 2 children, my eldest son is 15 years old and my youngest daughter is 8 years old. I previously worked in Hong Kong as a domestic helper for 1 year and 6 months with a Chinese family of six (3 adults and 3 children). When I started, I was assigned to take care of the youngest child, who was a newborn at that time, until he reached 4 months old. When the auntie of the second child broke her contract, my madam assigned me to take care of the second child, who was 1 year and a few months old. The newborn was then taken care of by a Chinese auntie.

My other duties included cleaning the house, washing dishes, helping my co‑worker with ironing and laundry, and sometimes picking up and dropping off the eldest child (5 years old) at school. I also helped him read books before bedtime. I decided to break my contract due to lack of food and lack of rest. I hope you will consider me as your helper, Madam/Sir.
