Bernie

Good day to my prospective employer. My name is Bernie, I am 48 years old, a widow, and I live in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. I have two daughters aged 14 and 15. I have worked abroad (as an Overseas Filipino Worker) for almost nine years, specifically in Qatar and Hong Kong. I am a simple person with a smiling face, and I pride myself on being honest, hardworking, and understanding. I would like to share my previous job experiences:

1. In Doha, Qatar, I worked for three years, from 2014 to 2017. I took care of ten adults in the family and successfully completed my contract.
2. In Hong Kong, I served my first employer from 2017 to 2019, caring for a family of four, which included a newborn baby boy, a two-year-old boy, and a couple. My main responsibilities included:
   • Taking care of the children, including changing diapers, feeding them nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
   • Cooking, cleaning the house, doing laundry, ironing, marketing, playing with the kids, and tutoring.
   I completed my contract there as well.
3. Furthermore, in Hong Kong, from 2019 to 2023, I cared for a family of five, which included one elderly person (85 years old) and four adults. My main responsibility was to assist the elderly, helping with bathing, changing clothes, managing daily hygiene, and assisting with medication after meals. I also completed my contract with this family.
