 I worked in Hong Kong for eight months, but I got terminated because my employer thought I showed symptoms of COVID-19 at the time. I took care of her daughter, who is six years old. Every morning, I would wake her up, prepare her backpack and water, and send her off to school. After that, I returned home to clean and do housework. I didn’t need to prepare breakfast for my employers since they handled their own meals. In the afternoon, I would pick up the child from school, and we would spend a little time in the park. In the evening, I would cook dinner for us, and afterward, I helped her with some of her English homework. Most of my time was spent with the kids when they were at home. Now, in China, from 2023 to 2024, I’m working as a babysitter and tutor for a 1-year-and-8-month-old girl. I take care of everything for her, and she’s a happy little girl that I love very much. In the morning, I wake her up at 7:45, and I feed her sometimes if her mom isn’t home since my employer is very hands-on with her children. I play with her a lot, teach her songs, and talk to her because the parents want her to learn English.
