My first overseas job was in Oman, a Muslim country, where I completed my contract serving a family of 12 adults. My duties included housekeeping, occasional cooking (though the madam preferred to cook for her family herself), laundry, and ironing in a two-story landed house with 7 rooms and 5 bathrooms. My second job was in Singapore, where I cared for twin girls. I prepared them for school, handled pick-up and drop-off, managed the household, did the laundry, shopping, ironing, and cooking, and took care of a Shiba dog in a home with 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms. I finished my contract there as well. Lastly, also in Singapore, I looked after a brother and sister, ages 6 and 4, preparing them for school, and managing housekeeping, laundry, ironing, marketing, and cleaning in a house with 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms.
