Hi, I’m Darnelle, I’m 50 years old and single. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. As the oldest in my family, I took on a lot of responsibilities after my father passed away. My friends say I’m kind, honest, polite, a quick learner, caring, responsible, hardworking, and flexible. In my spare time, I love cooking, listening to inspirational music, and playing sports like volleyball, bowling, and badminton.
After finishing college, I started working in a manufacturing company for about 13 years. However, due to financial difficulties, I decided to look for work abroad as an elderly caregiver. I spent 13 years in Taiwan caring for an 85-year-old grandmother who had dementia and Alzheimer’s, as well as handling household tasks like cleaning, cooking, marketing, and laundry. My daily responsibilities included feeding, bathing, grooming, managing her hair and nails, providing companionship and conversation, and monitoring important health signs like blood pressure and temperature. I also assisted her with walking and helped with medication and doctor’s appointments.
Even though I haven’t had the chance to use my degree in education, I truly believe I am a good caregiver because I have a genuine passion for taking care of others, no matter their age, especially those who can’t care for themselves. It would be an honor to work with your family in the future. I promise to take great care of your loved ones, and I hope you’ll give me the opportunity to work with you.
