Debbie Lyn

Hello! My name is Debbie. I used to work as a Domestic Helper in Hong Kong from 2012 to 2015 for two different employers. My first job focused on cleaning, gardening, and washing cars. For my second employer, I took care of a man who had a stroke, which left one side of his body immobile. I was responsible for monitoring his blood pressure, giving him his medicines, and taking him to his daily therapy sessions. I also did some light cooking, marketing, and cleaning. As my contract was coming to an end, my employer, who signed the contract, was relocated to Canada. The man I cared for improved significantly and didn’t need a helper anymore. I really missed my kids during that time, so we all agreed to end the contract early. After that, I decided to stay in the Philippines for good. Now, I've been working as a customer service representative in the BPO industry for almost nine years. After my recent visit to Hong Kong, I've decided to go back and look for better opportunities. This year, my two kids are going to university, and I need to find a way to support them financially, which is why I want to work in Hong Kong again.
