Edelmera

Ni hao, Future Employers! My name is Edelmera, I’m 27 years old and I come from the Philippines. I finished my high school education at Buenavista National High School. I’m the third child in my family and I have a 9-year-old daughter.

I have some work experience in Hong Kong. My first job was with a Chinese family. There were four adults and a baby. My duties included taking care of the baby, looking after an elderly person, cooking, doing laundry, ironing, tidying up the house, and grocery shopping. Unfortunately, I only worked with them for a year and two months because I got COVID-19 and they had to let me go.

My second job was also with a Chinese family, which included one adult and two teenagers. My responsibilities included taking care of their pets, a cute Bichon Frise dog and a large tortoise, as well as cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, doing laundry, ironing, and washing the car. I completed my two-year contract there, but we didn't renew it because there was a language barrier; they spoke Mandarin and didn't know English.

My third employer was an Indian family with two adults and one elderly person. I took care of the elderly, cooked, did grocery shopping, laundry, ironing, and washed the car. However, I only stayed for two months with them before I had to break my contract.

I really hope to meet a new employer soon!
