Hello ma'am/sir, I’m Elda. I’m married and I have two kids – a 25-year-old daughter and a 21-year-old son. I started working as a domestic helper in Brunei Darussalam in 2007, and I worked there for 4 years before going back to the Philippines. Then I decided to apply for a job in Hong Kong. I began working here in December 2011. My first employer was for 4 years, then my second employer for 6 years, and my third employer for just 1 year because they moved to China. Most recently, I was taking care of an elderly lady who was 91 years old. However, her family decided to place her in a care home. That’s my journey so far.
