Hi there, my name is Emely, I’m 48 years old and I'm from the Philippines. I’m married and I have two children. I have about 7 years of experience in elderly care, working with two different employers in Hong Kong.

For my first job, I cared for an 87-year-old man who was bedridden. I worked with him for a year. My duties included helping him move around, taking him for baths, changing his diapers, and checking his blood pressure, blood sugar, and temperature. I also prepared his meals and made sure he took his medicine.

Sadly, after a year he passed away, and then I took care of his 86-year-old wife, who was half-paralyzed. My responsibilities were similar; I helped her take showers, changed her diapers, prepared her meals, and monitored her blood pressure, blood sugar, and temperature every day. I also assisted with her mobility by pushing her wheelchair and did some light housework. I completed two contracts with this employer.( Total of 4 yrs)

For my second job, I worked as a caregiver for three years. I took care of an 85-year-old woman who had diabetes and Alzheimer's disease. I helped her with showers and changing her clothes, making sure she stayed clean. I prepared her meals, gave her medicines, and monitored her health daily, including her blood pressure, blood sugar, and temperature.
