Grace

I am Grace, 46 years old, and a mother with 1 kid. I worked as a domestic helper for 6 years in UAE. They have a huge house, a twin house. Two family with 3 kids. My employer is couple which is the parents. In my employer house they live with their younger daughter only until she got married in 2021. And the other family members are living in other house, the elder daughter with her 3 kids. The family have one cook and 3 helpers.

My main priorities are taking care of the couple parents house. Maintaining the cleanliness of their house, organizing, laundry, ironing, helping other maids in preparing foods, fruits and desserts. Assisting of guests and prepare drinks and snacks or foods when there is guest or party.

It was my first time to work as domestic helper but it was my great experienced. I have learned so much from their cultures and how I managed my work as family helper. I learned also how to bake cakes. I sometimes cook by using cook books when my employer only asked me especially cakes and desserts. I can do sewing and do some repairs.

I am a single mother with one kid. I choose this job because ever since in my childhood I learned already the house chores like washing clothes, ironing, cooking light meal and even taking care of baby. I didn't had a chance to continue my study in college because I need to work to support my family.

I'm a hardworking, independent, honest, trustworthy, reliable, easy to learned and willing to learn more, easy to adopt new cultures.
