Grace

My name is Grace, 47 years old and currently living here in the Philippines. I have 3 years of experience as a Domestic Helper, plus 2 years as a caregiver in Taiwan and 1 year in Malaysia. When I was a caregiver, I really tried to approach my work with patience, dedication, and hard work, treating my patient like he was my own grandfather. I lived in with him, and my daily tasks included cooking, feeding, bathing, and taking him out to the park. I also took him to his monthly doctor visits and made sure to keep his family updated if he wasn’t feeling well. He had some paralysis and was struggling with depression, so I always encouraged him to communicate and made sure to talk to him regularly. I prepared healthy meals and made sure he ate on time, especially since he needed to take his medications. I kept an eye on his vitals and greeted him with a smile every morning since he was usually quiet. I helped him shower and made sure he felt fresh and clean. I also did his laundry and worked to create a peaceful, tidy home for him. I truly cared for him as if he were my own grandfather.
