Hi there! I want to share a bit about my experience. I worked in Hong Kong for 4 months, and then my boss moved back to Shenzhen, Guangdong, and took me with her for almost a year. My main job was taking care of a 5-year-old girl. I would pick her up and drop her off at school on the bus, wash clothes, clean the house, and do some simple cooking.

Then, I worked for my second employer in Zhuhai, Guangdong, for a family of four—3 adults and 1 baby boy. After a little over a year, they had another baby girl, so that made a total of 5 in the family. My main responsibility was to take care of the baby. I would sleep with her, help with bath time, and prepare her milk. When she was sleeping, I would hand wash our clothes, wash and sanitize her bottles, and tidy up our room. I also read books to them and taught them some English. The grandparents did a lot of the cooking and some cleaning.

As the kids grew up, I would pick them up from the school bus and take them to their classes, like Chinese, English, or sports. When the kids were at school, I took care of other household chores. I really enjoyed my time with the families and learned a lot along the way.
