Jovelyn

I'm Jovelyn, 37 years old, from a family of farmers here in the Philippines. I grow up to be independent and self-supporting because we came from a poor farmer family here in our country. I used to live with a simple but happy family. We have a strong bond tight family, full of love and respect for each other, especially for our parents. I am the eldest and the only daughter. We are only 3 siblings and I have 2 brothers only.  

I was getting married at 18years old, and right now I am happily married. I have 3 children, my eldest one is turning 20, the second is 19, and my youngest is 13 years old. We have a  small business and that is our main source of income nowadays. I was working as Domestic Helper in Hong kong before, for two years.  I was taking good care of twin (boy and girl). At that time when I was working with them, they are only around 1 year and 8 months old. When I left them they are already 4 years old. I was doing marketing, taking care of baby/kids, cooking, cleaning, ironing, laundry, tutoring, sending kids to school and pick fetching them, and cooking baby foods.

After going back home, I continued with my college study and worked as a call center agent. Until I decided to find a job working at home and at the same time taking care of my two nieces because their parents are working in the other country. When their parents left, the eldest niece of mine is just  2 years old and the youngest was a 6-month-old baby. Until now I am the one taking care of them, (now the eldest one is already 7 years old and the youngest niece is 5 years old) at the same time I am accepting project-based work at home as A Virtual Staff.

Recently I've decided to apply again to go back to Hong kong because our business now is not doing good and my children are now in college. Our income right now is no anymore enough to support my family's needs. My personality is: I am a cheerful, positive person. I am hardworking and patience enough. I don't easily give up, especially on achieving my dreams. I am a person who can easily get along with others. A loving and family-oriented woman. Willing to sacrifice my own happiness for my kids and for my family.
