Hi, I'm Kimberly. I'm 33 years old and I graduated from high school. I studied nursing in college for a bit, but then I decided to go for a vocational course in caregiving. I'm married but I don't have kids yet. I'm the youngest in my family, with two sisters and one brother.
I have seven years of experience as a domestic helper, and I've only worked with one family. I started with the Salonga family in 2014 when they welcomed their second child. I took care of their newborn and their eldest was seven years old at that time. I worked with them for two years and completed my contract. In May 2016, I moved to the UAE and worked as a waitress and cashier until August 2018. After that, I came back to the Philippines to focus on caregiving. I enrolled in a caregiving course from February to September of 2019 and finished with my on-the-job training in November. In December 2019, my previous employer reached out because she had just welcomed her youngest child on December 19 and offered me a great opportunity, which I happily accepted. It turned out to be a fortunate job for me, especially with the pandemic hitting in 2020. I was really thankful to have a job during such a tough time. I finished my role as their nanny in 2025, but I still work with them as a tutor for their two kids, who are now 12 and 6 years old.
