Love Joy

Hi, I’m Love Joy, and I’m from the Philippines. I have six years of experience as a home-based caregiver in Taiwan, where I took care of a 60-year-old grandfather with COPD from 2016 to 2022. Right now, I’m working as a Clinical Assistant, or Nursing Assistant, at Asian Hospital and Medical Center in the Philippines. I’ve been in this role for almost three years on the Pediatric ward, where I usually manage 8 to 12 patients during an 8-hour shift. My main responsibilities include checking patients' vital signs every four hours, responding to their concerns through the carecom system, and providing support to their families while their loved ones are in the hospital. I also help take patients to various medical procedures like x-rays, MRIs, ultrasounds, or even surgeries. Additionally, I’m in charge of transporting specimen collections and making sure patients are billed for all the items they use in the hospital.
