Mae Gretchen

I am Gretchen. I'm 26 years old, single, and originally from Apayao. I graduated with a degree in Marketing Management. I have two siblings, and my family has always been hardworking. After I graduated in 2023, I started my first job as a Branch Secretary, where I worked until January 2026. In this role, I handled customer payments and kept track of our inventory. This experience helped me develop strong organizational skills and gave me the confidence to manage different tasks. I was satisfied with my salary and really valued the work experience I gained. Now, as a single woman, I’m looking to explore job opportunities abroad, starting with Taiwan. My goal is to earn money to support my family while also saving for my future. Apart from my work experience, I also have cared for children and helped manage household responsibilities. I live with my niece and nephew, who are 3 and 6 years old. When their parents are at work, I help take care of them. I also sometimes take care of my brother's 8-month-old baby, even though he lives in a different house. Because of these experiences, I’m comfortable supervising kids and understand the patience and responsibility needed in childcare. I also know how to handle household chores like cooking, cleaning, and organizing. Since my mom has worked abroad for a long time, I learned to be independent and responsible from a young age. This has helped me understand the challenges and sacrifices that come with working away from home. I’m eager, dedicated, hardworking, and ready to learn. I believe that working abroad will give me a chance to support my family, improve our financial situation, and prepare for my future. I’m confident that my work experience, household skills, and childcare experience will help me adapt to a new environment and be a responsible worker.
